Changelog
v1.1
- All trade evolutions either evolve via the Evo Stone obtained in Goldenrod Department Store, or their relevant trade held item.
- Escape Rope is now a KEY ITEM located at the top of Sprout Tower.
- Bugfix to prevent softlock in Olivine Gym if your party was full.
- Two new NPCs in 2F of every Pokémon Center - one will change the date and time, the other will tell you the HIDDEN POWER type of your lead Pokémon.
Core Features
- The three Starter Pokémon are randomized by default.
- After picking your starter from Professor Elm, the only way to obtain Pokémon is by defeating Gym Leaders.
- Every Gym Leader will give you a random Pokémon with its level set to the same as their ace Pokémon.
- The RNG for Gift Pokémon cannot be re-rolled. Your next Pokémon is locked in as soon as you've received the last one.
- All Pokémon are available — including duplicates of ones you've already received.
- You will receive 17 Pokémon during your run: 1 starter + 16 from Gyms.
- The Gift Pokémon is not tied to specific Gym Leaders. No matter which leader you battle, your next gift will be the same.
Gameplay Changes
- All other ways of obtaining Pokémon are disabled — this includes: Wild Encounters, Static and Gift Pokémon, Eggs
- All HMs and field moves have been replaced with Key Items to allow full progression.
- A stone vendor has been added to the Goldenrod Department Store, including all evolution stones and trade evo equivalents.
- Prize vendor in Goldenrod Game Corner gives Rental Abra to help with early Teleport access.
- Optional Level Cap mode for added challenge.
- Optional Candy Box (infinite Rare Candies) for grinding-free gameplay.
- Option to hide the starter preview for a full surprise at the beginning of your run.
