This patch enhances Pokémon Yellow for challenge run playthroughs, adding a wide range of quality-of-life options.

Features by Version

v1.0

  • Swap Starter Pokémon via the OPTIONS Menu.
  • Option to guarantee perfect DVs for your starter Pokémon.
  • Option to guarantee specific encounters:
    • Spearow on Route 3.
    • Paras in Mount Moon.
    • Abra on Routes 5-8.
    • With this option enabled, HM Friends catch instantly on first ball.
  • Option to guarantee capture with every Poké Ball until you have enough Dex Entries for FLASH.
  • Option to disable evolutions for your team.
  • Trade Evolutions now work via Linking Cord (found in Celadon Mart's Stone Shop).
  • Option to disable the puzzle in Vermilion Gym.
  • Pokémon's index numbers have been re-ordered to match the National Pokédex Order. Please note, if you are using a program such as GameHook to read the game's data, you will need to re-order your Pokémon reference list, starting with 0x01 for Bulbasaur and finishing with 0x97 for Mew.
