How do I play the backport?

You’ll need to download the IPS Patch file for the backport you wish to play, and then patch an unmodified of Pokémon Crystal. This tool can help you patch your game.

Where can I evolve my Pokémon?

All backports contain the same evolution method as they do in modern games. Held items such as the Razor Fang can be bought in the Mahogany Town shop after the Radio Tower has been completed. Pokémon who evolve in a Magnetic Field will evolve in the Lake of Rage, Moss Rock Pokémon evolve in Ilex Forest, and Ice Rock Pokémon evolve in the Ice Path.

Do you take Backport requests?

Generally no. Backporting takes a lot of time and effort, especially with the more complex Pokémon. Feel free to suggest backport ideas, but there is no guarantee I’ll be able to do them. If there is a specific Pokémon you really want backporting, I do take commissions, message me for prices.
